5/29/2012 0 Comments Step Right UpAfter a busy Winter in the studio, I am pleased to announce the openings of a few groups shows that my work will be in this Spring. The first of which opens June 4th and runs through September 22nd. This show is entitled Images and is at the Walter E. Terhune Gallery Owens Community College, Perrysburg, OH. It is running in conjunction with the GAS conference, so if you find yourself in Toledo, check out the events they will be holding! And opening June 5th running through August 31st: G8: A Group Exhibition Celebrating Eight Contemporary Artists Working in Studio Glass / Winston Wachter / Seattle, WA. I am especially excited to announce this show because I will be presenting for the first time, blown engraved glass!

Today reminded me of the 17th of March. Except on that day, the president didn't support marriage equality and today he does. It's not all bad, hey?
5/8/2012 1 Comment Chronology is OverratedHaven't been so good about updating the old blog. But as I have learned from comrade Boxer, 'I will work harder'. All the way back in February, Zak and I had the opportunity to visit our friends and fellow artists Martin Janecky, Lenka Dusilova and Judith Warwick, in Fairbanks, Alaska. The landscape there is so enormous that even as you are looking at it, it somehow seems unreal. The ravens were equally as big as the landscape and the Chickadees were the fluffiest I had ever seen! The sun was low and the shadows were long. Does it make me a bad mother that I let my son Rosco, who is only a small beaver, have more than a sip of my Martini?
