Museum of Glass Residency!

Last year I was awarded the 'Artist's Choice Award' at the Museum of Glass, Red Hot Auction. So this year, I get a 5-day residency at the museum! This means that I will be working with the amazing team at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA. March 28 - April 1st. (Next week!) We'll be working together to make me some blanks to engrave on (later at my own studio). I have prepared some Bullseye panels that we will 'roll-up' plus much more! So why not come on down! and check out the museum and watch an engraver in the hot-shop! It'll be funny! On Sunday afternoon I will be giving a lecture, check out the details on their website. And if you can't make it this week, you should check out the museum another time! Help support a great museum and resource for artists from all around the world working in all sorts of media.
Video from my residency at the museum last year.

Drawing is Preferable to Computing

I have decided to give myself some slack and not worry too much about posting every single drawing I make for the Calendar Project. While of course that would be ideal, who has time to make a drawing everyday and post it on a blog?!
People who have too much time on their hands, that's who. And baby, it ain't me.
But I do want to share - life happens in a drawing!

Three Decades On

I hear beautiful birds.
Very quietly between the clicks of the kiln.
The chugging of the train.
Through the rumble of traffic
and pounding of drivers.
We will all push on.
